Raymond A. Bradbury
My Last (and Best!) 23 Years in Coal
During his 42 years in the coal industry, Bradbury held both engineering and management positions with Midwest Utilities Coal Company, Armco Steel's Mining Division, Princess Elkhorn Coal Company and Island Creek Coal Company. He spent his last 23 years in the industry with Martin County Coal, first as vice president and general manager and then as president for 18 years. He is a 1950 graduate of West Virginia University's School of Mines and a member of the Emeritus Club.
The Department of Mining Engineering established the William N. Poundstone Lecture Series in 2000 to honor Poundstone, a distinguished alumnus of the Department, and to bring mining industry experts to campus to share their expertise with students and faculty.
