Michael J. Quillen

Michael J. Quillen has more than 35 years of experience in the coal industry. He was named president of ANR Holdings, a predecessor of Alpha Natural Resources, in 2002, and became chief executive officer in 2003. He served as executive vice president of operations of American Metals and Coal International from 1998 to 2002. Previously, he held other executive positions with coal companies, including Pittston Coal, NERCO Coal and AMVEST Corporation.
